Assemblage - Angels and Cameos
The works are made from
materials that I gathered over the years from different and
contrary worlds. Materials and everyday, available objects,
from the sea-shore, by the grocery at the Arab and Druse village,
from my village, from the town, from amongst the piles of junk
thrown up by my kids, from newspapers, from cultural and non-cultural
situations; from the garbage heap, worked over by time and people.......
The original objects lose their meaning and the possibility
to join together and create a new whole with new meaning; turn
them into cameos and angels of hope, hope for peace, Shalom.
